WHO I AM
I believe in a brighter, more prosperous and resilient future for all, and that every business, nonprofit and community can be part of the solution. In today's world, sustainability isn't a question of whether to do the right thing or build a successful, profitable business. It's about both.
I am an experienced sustainability professional responsible for developing, maintaining and leading successful corporate sustainability and resilience programs. My current work supports an association of 200 retail food outlets to use their positive impacts as a key differentiator in a highly competitive industry.
Other recent experience includes work in sustainable disaster recovery, forming regional sustainability network that grew to 300+ members, green business certification design, sustainability awards, climate resiliency work, and carbon footprint analysis.

PAST & PRESENT
2013 to present: At National Co-op Grocers I help 200 natural food retailers understand and improve their social, environmental and local economic impacts, with a strong emphasis on metrics and producing measurable change. I recently managed our B Corp recertification.
2010 to 2013: I founded Bright Green Strategy, a consulting firm with the purpose of driving sustainability deeply and broadly through the Iowa business community. Past clients include ACT, Inc. and Kirkwood Community College.
2009: Based out of Chicago, I helped multinationals track and manage their corporate sustainability KPIs through an enterprise sustainability software called Credit 360. Clients included Starbucks, McDonalds, ProLogis and Staples.
2007 to 2008: Attending Presidio Graduate School, where I earned an MBA in Sustainable Management, I worked on sustainable disaster recovery with Architecture for Humanity and Greensburg GreenTown, as well as on corporate sustainability certifications.
